The membranes are fixed at the outside sealing edge by an appropriate groove whereas at the feeding hole the membranes are mounted with a steel fitting suitable for barrel neck filter cloth as well as for single filter cloth installations. | During the squeezing cycle the membranes will be inflated with the squeezing medium (air or water). For a squeezing pressure higher than 7 bar water would be highly recommended. Specific channels within the membrane body plate guarantee a uniform distribution of the squeezing medium. | A feed eye support ring installed on the companion chamber filter plate keeps the feed eye diameter constant. This helps to build up a uniform filter cake and to increase the cake washing efficiency. |
